About Us
At Veterans Audiology, we get it. We understand what it’s like to serve in the military, give it your all, and then face the reality of having a hearing disability or tinnitus long after you’ve hung up your uniform. If you’re still fighting for the benefits you earned, we’re here to help.
Who We Are
We’re a a team of disabled Veterans, including a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.), and we know exactly what it’s like to battle with the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA). Everyone on the Veterans Audiology team has struggled to be service connected for their disabilities. Our sole purpose is helping fellow veterans who have been wrongly denied a VA disability ratings for hearing loss and tinnitus. Everyone at Veterans Audiology is dedicated to finding the documentation. and supporting medical evidence, necessary to support your supplemental claim.
What We Do
We provide complete evaluations of your Service Treatment Records (STRs), Claim Files (C-Files), Hearing Conservation Program (HCP) records, and previous VA Rating Decisions. When our audiologist determines a previously denied claim has merit, they can provide an expert Independent Medical Opinion (IMO) based on the facts of your personal case. Our VA trained Claims and Pension (C&P) examiner will construct an individualized and detailed Nexus letter, specific to your own military service. Our team works with you to ensure your story is heard and your claim is supported with the right medical evidence.
Why We Do It Our organization was developed specifically to counter the rise of non-professional, "cookie-cutter" Independent Medical Opinions (IMOs) submitted during Veteran supplemental claims. These, "Nexus Letters", provide scant personalized evidence, and lean heavily on how much noise the Veteran was exposed to. It is essential guidance for Veterans to understand that the VA does not award service connection for hearing loss or tinnitus based on noise exposure alone. VA Rating Decision's will conceded your noise exposure. You need something more, something better. Purchasing a generic nexus letter from someone who is not a licensed audiologist will very rarely contribute to a claim's success. We deplore these predatory practices. We decided the only way to effectively serve the Veteran community was to provide a legitimate, professional service of our own.
